Job Description
VPSI, a family-owned animal health distributor, is looking for a full time delivery driver at our Huntingburg Indiana warehouse. Valid License Required. Priority will be given to applicants with a valid CDL B License with Hazmat Endorsement (or someone with the ability to obtain one in the immediate future). DOT physical requirements Good driving record and work record Courteous/team player attitude Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds Minimum 23 years of age Summary Working closely with the Warehouse Lead Associate, you will utilize your core skills in commercial driving and truck operation to ensure timely deliveries. Some assistance in the warehouse picking orders/loading the truck will be required both at the warehouse and for delivery customers if requested. Responsibilities Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations. Transport hazardous materials as per safety guidelines, maintaining proper documentation and certifications. Load and unload freight, utilizing forklifts and other equipment when necessary. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance. Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.
