About the Job SureShip, Inc. is a FedEx Ground contractor seeking reliable, safety-focused Local Package Delivery Drivers . Drivers operate company-provided step vans or cargo vans delivering and picking up packages on dedicated local routes. This is a physical, fast-paced role ideal for individuals who enjoy independence and consistent work. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a FedEx Ground delivery vehicle (step van or cargo van) Deliver and pick up packages efficiently on assigned routes Scan and track all packages using FedEx-approved devices Load and unload packages (up to 150 lbs with assistance) Follow all FedEx safety, compliance, and appearance standards Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain a clean, professional vehicle and work area Provide excellent customer service at all delivery locations Complete routes accurately and on time FedEx Ground Minimum Requirements (Must Meet All) To be considered, candidates must meet FedEx Ground contractor hiring standards: Must be at least 21 years old Valid driver's license (chauffeur's license preferred where applicable) Minimum 1 year of verifiable driving experience Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years No reckless driving or serious violations Pass a DOT physical (medical card required) Pass a pre-employment drug screen Pass a criminal background check Pass FedEx Ground driver qualification process Legally eligible to work in the United States Ability to safely lift up to 150 lbs (with hand truck/team lift) Comfortable working in all weather conditions Able to work weekends and peak seasons as required Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Previous FedEx, Amazon, UPS, USPS, or delivery experience Step van or box truck experience CDL NOT required Customer service or route-based work experience What We Offer Competitive daily pay with growth opportunities Consistent routes and steady year-round work Paid training and ride-alongs Company-provided vehicle, fuel, and maintenance Supportive management team Opportunity for advancement into trainer or leadership roles Safe, compliance-focused operation Physical & Work Environment Frequent lifting, walking, bending, and climbing in/out of vehicle Outdoor work in all weather conditions Fast-paced delivery environment with time-sensitive expectations Why SureShip?
