Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper heavy lifting practices to prevent damage and ensure safety. Communicate professionally with clients upon delivery, addressing questions, providing product information, and building positive relationships. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly. Manage delivery documentation accurately, including delivery logs, invoices, and route sheets. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Requirements Valid driver's license with Hazmat endorsement preferred and a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation preferred. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Basic math skills for handling pricing calculations and inventory management. Retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product placement and presentation. Organizational skills to manage schedules efficiently, prioritize deliveries, and maintain accurate records.
