Delivery Driver Job DescriptionGionino's PizzeriaPosition Title Delivery Driver Position Summary The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering orders to customers while providing excellent customer service that reflects the standards of the restaurant. Drivers play a major role in customer satisfaction by ensuring orders arrive accurate, hot, fresh, and on time. In addition to deliveries, drivers assist with in-store operations including prep work, cleaning, stocking, dishes, and customer service. Core ResponsibilitiesDelivery Operations Deliver customer orders safely and efficiently within assigned delivery areas Ensure all orders are accurate before leaving the store Maintain professional and friendly customer interactions during every delivery Use delivery dispatch systems, GPS, and driver apps properly Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately Maintain delivery timing standards and communicate delays immediately Keep delivery bags and vehicles clean and organized Complete assigned runs with urgency while protecting food quality In-Store Responsibilities When not actively on deliveries, drivers are expected to assist the store team with operational tasks including: Front Counter Support Answer phones using approved greeting standards Enter customer orders accurately into POS system Assist walk-in customers Help organize delivery dispatch area Food & Prep Assistance Box and package food correctly Prepare simple food items when trained Refill sauces, cups, boxes, and supplies Assist with prep tasks as assigned Cleaning & Maintenance Wash dishes and kitchen utensils Sweep and mop floors Take out trash and cardboard Clean lobby, restrooms, and workstations Maintain cleanliness of hot bags and delivery equipment QualificationsRequired Valid driver's license Reliable personal vehicle Current automobile insurance Acceptable driving record Ability to pass motor vehicle background check if required
