Job Description
Overview Hesselbein Tire is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Box Truck Delivery Driver for a dedicated local route. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering product directly to multiple customer locations, safely unloading freight, and providing a professional, high-quality customer experience at every stop. Core Responsibilities
•
Safe Execution:
Safely operate a 26ft box truck along assigned delivery routes, navigating local traffic and customer loading zones efficiently.
•
Multi-Stop Delivery & Unloading:
Unload and maneuver tires accurately at multiple customer sites, ensuring orders are delivered intact, on time, and placed according to customer preferences.
•
Customer Experience:
Act as a professional representative of the company, interacting positively with site managers and receiving teams to maintain strong customer relationships.
•
Compliance:
Complete daily logs and strictly adhere to company safety protocols, local traffic laws, and safety regulations.
•
Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; immediately report any maintenance or equipment concerns to fleet maintenance.
•
Proactive Communication:
Maintain clear communication with account managers regarding route progress, unexpected delays, or site accessibility issues. Required Qualifications
•
License:
Valid Driver's License (Class D or standard operator's license, depending on state requirements).
•
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of verifiable professional experience operating commercial box trucks or performing multi-stop delivery routes.
•
Customer Service Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
•
Record:
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major moving violations or accidents within the past 3 years.
•
Physical Ability:
Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and maneuver freight using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or ramps during customer unloads.
•
Certifications:
Ability to obtain/maintain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. What We Offer
