Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver's license, experience with commercial driving, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving items. The Delivery Driver will operate box trucks and other delivery vehicles, navigate route driving efficiently, and assist with loading and unloading cargo. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and other delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations Load and unload products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling equipment Ensure accurate delivery by following assigned routes and schedules Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns professionally Verify delivery contents against orders and obtain signatures when required Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks before and after routes Assist in warehouse activities such as inventory management or moving stock as needed Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety on the road Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of route driving Customer service skills with a professional attitude during interactions with clients Experience operating commercial vehicles, including box trucks with manual transmission Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently during load & unload procedures Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with drivers preferred Excellent navigation skills for route planning and driving in various environments Physical stamina for heavy lifting, moving items, and extended periods of driving or standing Ability to work independently while managing time effectively for timely deliveries
