Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the beer industry handling the delivery of kegs and cases of beer to retail locations, experience in a warehouse environment, and be capable of handling various tasks efficiently.Responsibilities:
- Safely transport cases and kegs to retail taprooms, bottleshops, restaurants, bars, and grocery stores in a timely manner.
- Load and unload pallets of kegs & cases, ensuring all items are secure for transportation
- Assist with picking items for palletization and delivery for your route as well as other drivers routes.
- Operate delivery vehicles such as vans, box trucks, and/or refrigerated vans
- Assist with vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Communicate with logistics and management to ensure efficient delivery routes
- Handle the collection of delivery invoices, check payments and electronic payments accurately
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including heavy lifting and forklift operation
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Beer Delivery Driver or in a similar role
- Commercial driving experience is not required, but preferrable
- Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns, especially in the Portland Metro area
- Ability to operate various delivery vehicles including vans, box trucks, and refrigerated vans
- Excellent communication skills and customer service-oriented approach
