Description:
Position Summary The Class C Delivery Driver loads and delivers fresh meat products to customer accounts, verifies order accuracy at both the plant and the destination, and serves as the face of Carlton Farms to customers on a daily basis. Schedule 6:00 AM until 2:00 PM, or until all deliveries are complete. Must be able to maintain a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department. Key Responsibilities Pull customer orders from a generated pick ticket Package and scan inventory of boxed products Load trucks and deliver fresh meat products to customer accounts Verify shipments at the plant and at the destination before delivery Complete daily vehicle inspections Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, temperature, and returned goods logs Organize product and materials Follow all DOT regulations Adhere to all work and food safety policies set forth by the company and the USDA Customer Service Interact with customers daily and maintain a clean, professional appearance Build and maintain positive working relationships with the primary contact at each account
Requirements:
Valid Class C driver's license Working knowledge of basic shipping, receiving, temperature, and returned goods documentation Familiarity with daily vehicle inspection requirements Self motivated and able to work independently as well as with others in a fast paced team environment Contributes to a positive and supportive work environment Physical Requirements Able to heavy lift at least 60-100 lbs. Long periods of walking, standing, and sitting. Working in a cold environment.
