Job Description

POSITION TITLE
Delivery Driver
REPORTS TO
Retail and Specialty Pharmacy Managers
SUPERVISOR OF
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
FUNCTION
The pharmacy delivery driver is responsible to ensure efficient and accurate delivery of people's prescriptions and health care aids. The goal of this position is to present a caring image to our customers by offering outstanding service and supporting our customer's wishes. The pharmacy delivery driver must comply with the company's established policies and procedures.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Drives automobile to deliver prescriptions, DME POS products, and medical supplies. 2. Records delivery information on daily delivery record. 3. Calls customer to establish delivery time, if applicable. 4. Picks up COD's 5. Listens to and resolves delivery service complaints. 6. Picks up rejected or recalled DMEPOS products. 7. Loads delivery vehicle. 8. Obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery. 9. Obtains gas for delivery vehicle. 10. Cleans inside/outside of delivery vehicle. 11. Schedules and obtains routine maintenance on delivery vehicle. 12. Assist in emptying office trash and recycled products, if needed. 13. Mail letters and packages. 14. Purchase postage stamps. 15. Take packages to UPS, if necessary. 16. Pick up prescription hard copies from doctors' offices. 17. Deliver and pick up medications to and from area pharmacies. Purchase miscellaneous supplies from area merchants as requested. Practice courteous driving while on duty

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Maintain current driver's license
