Responsibilities Safely operate a van or similar vehicle to deliver goods along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload products using manual handling techniques, forklifts, or pallet jacks as needed, ensuring items are secured properly for transit Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with recipients professionally, answering questions, and addressing any concerns during delivery Plan efficient routes to maximize productivity and meet delivery schedules while maintaining flexibility for unforeseen changes Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure optimal safety and performance; report any maintenance issues promptly Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving stock within the facility, or preparing shipments for delivery Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and communication with dispatchers to ensure smooth operations Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating a van Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in diverse situations Ability to perform lifting up to and physical tasks related to loading/unloading packages safely and efficiently Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus; certification is advantageous but not required Knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and best practices for safe driving in various conditions Ability to work independently while managing time effectively in a physically demanding roleEmbark on this exciting journey as a Local Delivery Driver where your energy makes a difference!
