As an Unarmed Security Officer at a college campus, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age (C101) to be eligible for employment.Driver's License:
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). Candidates must provide a copy of their driver's license during the application process.Access Control/Badge Experience:
Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management (B201). This experience is crucial for maintaining security protocols within the organization.Alarm Panel Experience:
Familiarity with alarm panel systems is required (B202). Candidates must demonstrate their ability to operate and respond to alarm systems effectively.Technology Proficiency:
Candidates must be comfortable using computers or tablets (B204). Proficiency in basic software applications and digital communication tools is essential for daily operations.Customer Service Experience:
A background in customer service is mandatory (B219). Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries and concerns professionally.Physical Requirements:

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and public services as needed. Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues according to site procedures. Prepare clear and timely reports documenting patrol activities, incidents, and interactions with campus community members.Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
