STC Advocate Job Description The STC Advocate serves as the primary face of an innovative online car buying and selling experience, meeting customers in person as they complete the sale of their vehicles. In this role, you drive a company vehicle to multiple daily appointments, greet customers at their homes, review their vehicles, guide them through digital paperwork, and coordinate towing, all while delivering a memorable, hassle-free experience. You act as a brand ambassador, combining excellent customer service, safe driving, and attention to detail to ensure every interaction is smooth, efficient, and enjoyable. Responsibilities Serve as the in-person representative for customers who are selling their vehicles, providing a friendly, professional, and personalized experience at each appointment. Drive a company-owned car to approximately 6-8 customer appointments per day at their homes, following all safety guidelines and maintaining a clean driving record. Greet customers on arrival, conduct a visual review of the vehicle they are selling, and clearly explain the steps of the process. Guide customers through completing all required paperwork on an iPad, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and a clear understanding of the documents. Accurately and efficiently complete customer paperwork and enter thorough notes into the customer tracking system to document each interaction. Coordinate and set up towing services to pick up vehicles from customer homes after the appointment is complete. Prioritize safe, consistent driving at all times in accordance with commercial motor vehicle driver qualification policies. Assist team members with various tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a strong commitment to teamwork. Communicate customer offerings and service details in a clear, consistent manner to help customers feel informed and confident. Manage time effectively to meet daily appointment schedules, accomplish goals, and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company's mission to provide a no-pressure, no-haggle, online car buying and selling experience. Adapt to evolving processes and training approaches, remaining open to new assignments and willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done. Essential Skills Minimum of 1+ years of customer-facing experience with a strong passion for creating memorable customer experiences. Proven customer service skills and a customer service-oriented mindset. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past 5 years and ability to meet motor vehicle record expectations. Must be 21 years of age or older. High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to prioritize safe driving and maintain consistent, responsible driving habits. Strong attention to detail, including accurate completion of paperwork and thorough documentation in customer tracking systems. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Capability to walk, stand, and sustain physical activity for extended periods of time (8+ hours). Frequent driving requiring excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity, with reasonable accommodations available to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Goal-oriented, enthusiastic, and self-motivated approach to work. Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and consistently with customers and team members. Team-oriented mindset with an understanding of the value of collaboration and how effective teams operate. Open availability for all working hours for temp-to-hire roles, including rotating weekend work approximately every three weeks. Desire for long-term growth, with potential to progress into training or supervisory roles over time. Comfort with training that may be dynamic and evolving, and willingness to adapt to changing processes and expectations. Work Environment This role involves a mix of office and field work, with significant time spent driving a company-owned vehicle to customer homes and working both indoors and outdoors. You will be exposed to varying weather conditions, including inclement and extreme weather, and should be comfortable spending extended periods of time in both indoor and outdoor environments. The pace is fast, with multiple appointments per day and a culture that values bright, motivated individuals who can juggle many tasks at once. Hours and pay rates vary by location, and some positions are contract while others are contract-to-hire. For temp-to-hire roles, you can expect rotating weekend work approximately every three weeks and must have open availability for all working hours. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Stanton, PA 15672. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
