Job Description

Overview:
The Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transport of Sharp Business Systems products to local customer base. This customer service-focused position is often the first impression of the Sharp Business Systems team to meet internal and external customer needs and expectations. The range of duties can include scheduling and communication on delivery routes; completion and filing of official delivery documentation; and cleanliness and upkeep of the delivery truck and warehouse environments.
Responsibilities:
Loads products for transportation to customer locations in a secure, courteous, professional, and polite manner Installs and provides basic key operator training of equipment at customer location Interacts with customers on basic equipment questions Follows a daily delivery schedule and provides timely communication and updates from the field Assists with warehouse and setup shop duties as needed, including keeping warehouse space organized and clean Maintains accurate and complete delivery documentation and performs paperwork validation including serial numbers, equipment ID numbers, and meter counts for proper distribution Provides basic troubleshooting of potential issues in the field that would need to be relayed to the service team for follow-up Keeps company vehicles cleaned and well-maintained Assists as needed and helps with scheduling of delivery/install at customer sites Provides frequent internal communication with service, sales, and operations teams to ensure time commitments are met Other duties as assigned which may include but are not limited to: working in our system to help pick and fulfill/ship out equipment and supply orders, and to help perform inventory counts
Position Requirements:
Valid driver's license and clean record Ability to drive at minimum a 15-foot box truck High school diploma or equivalent education Ability to use delivery equipment including dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and lift gates in a safe manner Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on customer service skills Previous experience in a warehouse environment a plus Forklift experience preferred Familiarity with all local roadways and the immediate regional area About Sharp Business Systems Sharp Business Systems (SBS) is a direct sales division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, the U.S. based subsidiary of Japan's Sharp Corporation. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
