+ Sugar as a delivery driver. Our shop is in downtown West Palm Beach; however, our customers are everywhere from Key Largo up to Vero Beach. Check out our site at https://earthandsugar.com/ to learn more! Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and reliable. We need a professional and courteous driver and deliverer to represent the company. This job is delivering fresh cakes, pastries and desserts to resorts, hotels, caterers, and restaurants throughout our area. The product must be delivered with great care. The driver must be careful and conscientious that the product arrives safely. The person filling this role must work on Weekends including Sundays .
FLEXIBILITY IS A MUST!
Deliveries are needed 7 days a week at varying times depending on the schedule of events which varies weekly, with 1-2 days off per week. We anticipate the person in this role will have 40-60 hours a week during season (October - May), and a bit less out of season (June - September). Requirements (no exceptions): Valid FL Driver's License Must have held a Driver's License for 3+ years No DUI's in the previous 5 years History of safe-driving Ability to lift and walk carrying products weighing at least 50 pounds (unassisted) Responsibilities Loading, transporting, and delivering items to guests or businesses safe & timely while maintaining a polite and professional manner. Reviewing orders prior to leaving the shop and upon delivery to ensure that orders are complete, and guest is satisfied and that no product was damaged in transit. Check load against invoices to ensure product load count matches invoices. Load delivery vehicle in stop order to ensure stops are made in proper route sequence. Drive safely to protect the quality of the product. Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules. Maintaining a safe driving record, even outside of work. Keep vehicle organized, clean and alert the office for scheduled vehicle maintenance. Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record We look forward to learning more about you!
