$20.00-$24.00 per hour ICH Industries LLC, a Native-owned, New York State-licensed cannabis processor and distributor, is seeking an experienced and dependable Mechanic/Delivery Driver to join our team. This is a hybrid position that combines responsibility for the maintenance and repair of company vehicles with delivery routes throughout New York State. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of proven mechanic experience, a strong driving record and the ability to safely transport regulated products, customer orders, important documentation and, at times, customer payments. Our drivers and mechanics play an essential role in keeping our vehicles safe and reliable, our products secure and our customers well served. What You'll DoVehicle Maintenance and Mechanical Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on company vehicles. Identify mechanical, electrical and safety-related vehicle issues and recommend appropriate repairs. Complete oil changes, brake services, tire rotations, fluid checks and other preventive maintenance. Respond promptly to reported vehicle concerns and help minimize vehicle downtime. Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, parts and service dates. Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and notify management when service is required. Assist with coordinating outside repairs or specialized services when necessary. Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area. Having your own tools is preferred. Delivery and Transportation Responsibilities Safely transport cannabis products, supplies and other company materials to approved locations throughout New York State. Verify orders, manifests and delivery documentation before leaving the facility. Maintain secure custody of regulated products throughout each route. Obtain all required signatures, receipts and delivery documentation. Collect and safeguard approved customer payments when assigned. Complete and document pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections. Promptly communicate any delays, discrepancies, vehicle issues or delivery concerns. Assist with pickups, company events, loading, unloading and other transportation needs as required. Follow all company security, transportation and regulatory procedures. What We're Looking For A minimum of five years of proven professional mechanic experience is required. Demonstrated experience diagnosing, maintaining and repairing passenger vehicles, vans or light-duty commercial vehicles. Three or more years of professional delivery, commercial driving, courier, route-driving or similar experience is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean and acceptable driving record. Strong history of reliability, punctuality and safe driving. Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of vehicle systems, maintenance and repair procedures. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures. Comfortable handling confidential information, regulated products and customer payments. Ability to use diagnostic equipment, GPS, mobile applications and electronic documentation. Ability to safely load, unload, lift and carry products, tools, parts and other materials. Flexibility regarding routes, schedules and changing business needs. Professional communication and customer-service skills. Ability to meet company vehicle insurance and applicable background or credentialing requirements. Personal mechanic tools are preferred. Cannabis industry or Metrc experience is a plus but is not required. Training may be provided. Schedule and Travel This position requires flexibility based on delivery, maintenance and operational needs. Routes may include early mornings, evenings, occasional weekends, extended driving and company events. Some assignments may require overnight travel; company-approved accommodations will be provided. The employee must also be available to address vehicle maintenance needs and unexpected mechanical issues as they arise.
