In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering catering orders promptly and professionally to our valued clients. Responsibilities Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and cargo vans, to transport catering orders across designated routes. Load and unload food and catering supplies using manual handling techniques when necessary. Ensure all deliveries are accurate, complete, and delivered on time by adhering to established routes and traffic regulations. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while interacting with customers during delivery, providing excellent customer service at each stop. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, safe lifting practices, and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Use mobile devices or GPS systems for route navigation, delivery tracking, and communication with the dispatch team. Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including inventory management and moving supplies within the facility. Requirements Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred; experience with delivery driving in a commercial setting is highly valued. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating vans, box trucks, or commercial trucks is a plus. Ability to lift heavy items safely and perform manual handling tasks regularly; familiarity with heavy lifting techniques is essential. Knowledge of traffic laws and adherence to DOT regulations for commercial vehicle operation. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation, communication, and documentation during deliveries. Reliable transportation (personal vehicle or company vehicle) capable of supporting daily delivery schedules.
