Delivery Driver La Grange, TX 78945 From $20 an hour - Full-time From $20 an hour - Full-time Job Summary The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely delivering lumber and building materials to customer job sites using a CDL-required delivery truck equipped with a truck-mounted forklift (Moffett or Navigator). This position requires strong driving skills, safe forklift operation, and professional customer service. Key Responsibilities Deliver lumber, plywood, and building materials to residential and commercial job sites Operate a truck-mounted forklift to load and unload materials at delivery locations Secure loads according to DOT and company safety standards Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on truck and forklift Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures Communicate effectively with dispatch and yard staff Comply with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies Keep truck, forklift, and equipment clean and in good working order Assist with yard duties as needed when not making deliveries Qualifications & Requirements Valid CDL (Class A or B, as required) Clean driving record and current DOT medical card Experience driving CDL vehicles preferred Forklift experience required; truck-mounted forklift experience preferred Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions Strong safety awareness and attention to detail Reliable attendance and good time-management skills Professional customer service skills Work Environment Local deliveries with daily home time Outdoor and job-site conditions Physical work including climbing on/off truck and securing loads
