Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to customers and clients. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, such as a van or truck, to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload merchandise from the vehicle using appropriate equipment, such as a pallet jack or hand truck
- Plan delivery routes and follow schedules to ensure timely deliveries
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs, mileage records, and customer receipts
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure proper functioning and safety
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including receiving and organizing shipments
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps to find the most efficient routes
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and moving of packages or merchandise
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures is a plus
