In this energetic role, you will be responsible for delivering products efficiently and safely while providing exceptional customer service. Duties Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles to deliver goods across designated routes. Plan efficient delivery routes using organizational skills and route driving knowledge to maximize productivity. Load and unload merchandise, practicing safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques to prevent injury. Communicate clearly with clients during deliveries, building positive relationships through professional client communication. Assemble appliances and equipment as required at the delivery site. Utilize schematics for proper installation and setup of delivered appliances when necessary. Verify delivery accuracy, process pricing information, Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and maintain compliance with all safety standards. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure vehicles are in optimal condition for daily operations. Proven experience in commercial driving, including automobile transportation and commercial truck driving. Strong math skills for handling pricing, measurements, and basic calculations accurately. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Possess mechanical knowledge to assist with equipment repair and appliance assembly as needed. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices. Familiarity with route driving strategies to ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations.
