Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Route Delivery Driver and become the vital link between our company and our valued customers! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering freight to various locations along your designated route. Your expertise in truck driving, combined with your commitment to excellent customer service, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Route Driver contributes to the overall goal of the company to provide exceptional service and maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Route drivers are in charge of meeting their schedule, taking action when needed to communicate customer concerns and problems, and representing the company in a professional, positive manner in all customer interactions. Duties and Responsibilities Ability to safely drive a 26' box truck on a route Ability to maintain a route log to document all route stops with detail and accuracy Completes a daily truck inspection/checklist Transports documents from customer location to truck for destruction Interacts and communicates with customers with the highest degree of professionalism Safely and efficiently operates plant-based shredding equipment Performs basic truck maintenance Complete all routes on schedule with accuracy Complies with all company standards and DOT requirements Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourages other employees to do the same Safely operates forklift and other equipment in order to complete tasks Works cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and co-workers in order to complete tasks Maintain the highest degree of security and control of customers' confidential material presented for destruction at all times Ability to maintain all DOT required licenses and documentation Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission vehicles preferred. Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving best practices. Ability to operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Familiarity with freight handling equipment such as forklifts or roll-off mechanisms is a plus. Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations and compliance standards. Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or with equipment; capable of lifting heavy items when necessary.
