• Must be 21 or over with a minimum of 1 year commercial driving experience
• Must be able to pass a drug test
• Must possess a clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
• Must be able to pass a background check (no felony of any kind) which includes a TSA screening process that requires the following document options: A. United States Passport or B. Driver's License + Social Security Card OR Birth Certificate It can be EITHER A or B, whichever is readily and physically available!
• Must be available to arrive to work each shift no later than 7:45 am and also able to work on a Saturday or a Sunday of each weekend. FedEx operates on weekends as well so these are not Mon-Fri positions!
• Must be able to provide job references
• Must have reliable transportation as on-time attendance is critical in this job!

ABOUT THE JOB

Drivers report to the Mesquite terminal each morning to provide delivery and pick-up services in Plano (approximately 24 miles from the station). We're looking for drivers who are dependable and possess a strong work ethic! Employees are paid weekly; compensation is $160.00

Job Responsibilities:

Efficiently organize, load, and secure packages on the truck prior to dispatch Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation of vehicles Operate commercial vehicles (up to 26' vehicles) safely and in strict accordance with DOT regulations, traffic laws and other safety standards (i.e. DOT service hours, the need for pre/post-trip inspections, importance of seat belts, etc.) Ensure all scheduled pick-ups and deliveries are met within their designated time windows and provide real-time updates Maintain strict adherence to package scanning and delivery code integrity while providing exceptional service to customers Comfortable with heavy lifting for loading/unloading packages; able to handle weight safely in the workplace all while performing tasks efficiently Possess professional and consistent customer service skills Must possess a strong work ethic and meet strict attendance guidelines
