Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Box Truck Driver specializing in furniture delivery! In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face representing our company, ensuring that customers receive their furniture safely, efficiently, and with exceptional service. Your driving expertise combined with your physical strength and attention to detail will help us deliver a seamless experience from warehouse to customer's doorstep. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to be active, engaged, and pivotal in creating satisfied customers every day. This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck equipped for furniture delivery, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols. Load and unload furniture using manual lifting techniques and dollies when necessary, ensuring items are secured properly for transit. Deliver furniture to residential or commercial locations across designated routes, providing excellent customer service throughout each interaction. Assist customers with the placement and setup of furniture inside their premises, demonstrating care and professionalism. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure the truck remains in optimal condition; report any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery confirmation records. Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate loadings, inventory management, and route planning for maximum efficiency. Experience Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles. Strong background in customer service with excellent communication skills. Experience with warehouse operations including loading/unloading furniture and handling heavy lifting safely. Familiarity with route driving and navigation tools to optimize delivery schedules. Prior courier or moving experience is highly desirable. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving 26ft box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred.
