In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods using box trucks, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks, or commercial trucks to deliver goods to various locations, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary. Plan efficient routes using mobile devices to optimize delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals. Interact professionally with customers during delivery, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with weight handling regulations. Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items, minimizing injury risk during manual handling tasks. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and digital records of deliveries made using mobile devices or other tracking tools. Qualifications Proven warehouse experience combined with delivery driving background preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; NO CDL required, experience operating box trucks, commercial trucks, or personal vehicles for delivery purposes. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and safe driving practices on busy routes. Experience in manual handling, moving heavy items, and operating material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks. Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations related to weight limits, hours of service, and safety standards. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively during deliveries. Ability to lift heavy loads safely while following proper lifting techniques.
