Delivering Success Trucking is seeking an experienced Part-Time Delivery Operations Manager to oversee our furniture and appliance delivery teams in Chesapeake, VA. This position requires someone who has previous experience in the furniture and/or appliance delivery industry and understands the day-to-day expectations of white-glove delivery operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, hands-on, and comfortable holding delivery teams accountable for company and customer standards. This is not strictly an office position. The Manager will be expected to actively supervise daily operations and must be willing and physically able to fill in as a helper on a delivery truck when needed. Responsibilities Supervise and provide daily oversight of furniture/appliance delivery teams Ensure all teams arrive at the warehouse on time and prepared for their routes Conduct daily uniform and appearance checks to ensure drivers/helpers meet company standards Help ensure teams have the proper equipment and are prepared for the day's deliveries Monitor team attendance, punctuality, professionalism, and overall performance Communicate with drivers, helpers, warehouse personnel, and management regarding daily operational needs Address issues that may arise during routes and assist with finding quick solutions Reinforce proper handling of customers' furniture, appliances, and property Ensure teams follow company procedures and customer-service expectations Assist with loading, unloading, and deliveries when necessary Fill in as a Driver Helper whenever operationally needed Report attendance, performance, or operational concerns to upper management Requirements Previous furniture and/or appliance delivery experience

REQUIRED

Previous leadership, management, lead-driver, or team-supervision experience strongly preferred Knowledge of white-glove furniture/appliance delivery operations Must be dependable and punctual Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to hold team members accountable while maintaining professionalism Must be comfortable working in both a supervisory and hands-on capacity Ability to assist with lifting and maneuvering heavy furniture/appliances using proper equipment and team-lifting techniques Must be available Tuesday through Saturday Must be able to pass required background screening Schedule 5 days per week - Tuesday through Saturday This is a part-time management position with hours based around daily delivery operations.
