PM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Screen visitors, inspect packages and personal belongings in accordance with site procedures, and verify access credentials before permitting entry to restricted areas.
Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and public emergency services as needed.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, access-control issues, and other security-related observations.
Minimum Requirements:
At least two years of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
An armed guard card or license is required.
A DCJS license is required in Virginia.
Handcuffing certification is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
