Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper lifting practices, including heavy lifting when necessary. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, addressing questions or concerns professionally. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records. Upsell additional products or services where appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales. Follow all safety protocols related to automobile transportation and heavy lifting to prevent accidents or injuries. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or retail store delivery roles. Strong knowledge of pricing strategies and basic math skills for handling transactions or measurements. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to build positive customer relationships through friendly and professional service. Familiarity with merchandising techniques and organizational skills for managing deliveries efficiently. Knowledge of DOT regulations, safe lifting practices, and heavy lifting procedures. Experience in sales or upselling to maximize revenue opportunities during deliveries.
