Description:
Pay $22-$25 Responsibilities The Customer Specialist/Delivery is responsible for driving a straight truck along a daily delivery route. Tasks along the delivery route include: Delivering customers' furniture including assembly and installation of the furniture when required. Inspecting furniture for flaws or damage. Resolving customer complaints should they arise by working with the Customer Care department. The Customer Specialist/Delivery will inspect and clean the company vehicle to keep it presentable and functioning. While working both independently and as part of the warehouse team, Customer Specialist/Delivery are expected to unpackage, assemble, and prepare furniture for transport in customer vehicles. This includes making sure that furniture is adequately wrapped in protective materials and properly tied down. Inspecting furniture for damage and flaws is an important part of the duties of a Customer Specialist/Delivery in order to ensure customer satisfaction. Requirements:
Education:
Must be working towards or have a high school diploma or GED.
Licenses Required:
Must have a driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Medical Physical.
Experience:
1-3 years related experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
High physical demands can be required. The employee is regularly required to stand for sustained periods of time. The employee can be expected to lift, push, and pull up to 150 pounds individually and up to 300 pounds as a part of a team. Occasionally, The employee will be required to ascend and descend ladders and stairs in a safe manner. May be required to work safely from heights when necessary. The employee must adhere to safe lifting techniques, follow proper training for learned job hazards and ergonomic risk factors, participate in the departmental stretching program, and maintain an overall safe working environment.
