IMMEDIATE OPENING - PART TIME CDL CLASS A TRUCK DRIVER
(Manual, 53' Van) Job Overview We are seeking an experienced skilled and reliable company Tractor Trailer Truck Driver to join our family-owned team. The ideal candidate will have experience in transporting freight efficiently and safely. Trucking experience should include operating a manual tractor with a 53' dry van trailer. This role requires a commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage loading and unloading tasks effectively. Flexible availability for deliveries Monday - Friday first shift. Weekly hours ranging 10-30 hours week. Options for job share set days. Options for full time semi truck driver and pallet production/forklift. Local Deliveries only (within 100 mile radius) No touch freight Home Nightly/no weekend work Business hours: Mon-Thurs 7:00 - 4:00 Fri 7:00 - 1:00 Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and semi trucks with manual transmissions across designated routes, transporting goods safely. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries in compliance with federal regulations. Conduct routine inspections of trucks before and after trips to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Navigate route driving assignments with precision, adjusting plans as needed based on traffic or delivery requirements. Maintain a clean and safe driving record in compliance with state and federal regulations, with a strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving and vehicle maintenance. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies while on the road. Communicate effectively with project managers, crew leads, and vendors. Must be able to pass a drug test, DOT physical, and background check at company expense. Ideal Candidate At least 23 years of age or older Must have valid Class A Commercial Drivers license Clean Driving record with no major violations Proven experience as a CDL Driver ( minimum CDL driving requirement 2 years ) Stable work history Has a work authorization to work in the United States. Must have the ability to drive manual semi tractor. Courteous and professional manner as a representative of the company.
