Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks, to deliver goods to retail stores, clients, and other designated locations. Plan efficient delivery routes using route driving skills to maximize productivity and ensure on-time arrivals. Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices. Build rapport with customers through friendly communication, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, delivery receipts, and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales outcomes. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving or commercial truck driving preferred. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices for commercial vehicles. Strong math skills for handling pricing calculations and basic inventory management. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols. Retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product placement and presentation. Organizational skills to manage routes efficiently and complete all required paperwork accurately. Prior military experience involving logistics or transportation is advantageous but not mandatory.
