Job Description
Short Description Our client is currently delivering a major stormwater tunnel on the East Coast and is seeking experienced professionals to strengthen the TBM team. The project involves the excavation of a stormwater tunnel using a Herrenknecht Mixshield TBM (Ø 3.6-3.8 m). Construction is already underway, and the team is looking to expand with skilled and experienced TBM Pilots. Function Description As a TBM Pilot , you will be responsible for operating and controlling the tunneling machine, ensuring safe and efficient excavation in slurry/mixshield conditions. Besides this, you will be expected to: Operate and monitor TBM performance (Mixshield / Slurry) Control face pressure, slurry circuit, and excavation parameters Coordinate with the shift team (mechanical, electrical, segment crew) Ensure safety, quality, and production targets are met Troubleshoot operational issues underground Requirements Proven experience as a TBM Pilot on slurry or mixshield machines (min. 10 years) Experience with Herrenknecht TBM is mandatory Strong understanding of tunnelling operations and ground conditions Ability to work in rotating shifts and demanding environments Good communication skills in English What we offer: Competitive salary paid 4 weekly Accommodation, transportation to work and flights provided Full support and expenses covered for the visa process Possibility to join a major subcontractor for a long-term project (2-3 years) If this is not the right opportunity for you, please check our website for other jobs.
