Job Description

The boat manager will need to have at least seven (7) to ten (10) years of large vessel Sea Ray experience and be able to perform the following routine maintenance for the summer season on Ft. Loudon Lake, Tennessee.
  • One exterior wash down of the boat on a weekly basis, including all hatches and storage compartments 1.
Inspection of all lines and fenders 2. Water plants 3. Visual interior inspection 4. Check refrigerator and freezer for proper operation 5. Turn on interior lights replace if needed (from onboard stock) 6. Flush all heads and wipe bowls 7. Flush micro-form in head 8. Check holding tank give notice if full 9. Inspect a/c units for proper operation 10. Inspect shore power for proper connection 11. Check service panel to see proper voltage received 12. Check battery charger for proper output 13. Visual inspection of engine room 14. Check all Main engine hose connections for possible leak 15. Check all electrical connection for corrosion and tightness 16. Check engines for signs of fuel leakage 17. Inspect engine and marine gear 18. Rotate/ turn oil filter scraper 19. Inspect Generators, check oil and coolants 20. Run Generator for 15 minutes 21. Inspect shafts for leaks 22. Inspect rudder seals for leaks 23. Inspect water level top off if necessary 24. Check all bilge pumps for proper operation 25. Check all float switches 26. Remove any debris from pick up strainer 27. Check bilges and thru holes for any leaks or excess water 28. Check a/c pumps for leaks29. Check a/c pump for discharge for proper flow 30. Check Bow thruster oil reservoir and fill if needed 31. Check zinc anote-recommend if needed replaced 32. Check gear oil, recommend filling if necessary 1. Remove outdoor carpet and clean deck 2. Clean teak with cascade granule and water 3. Clean all exterior cushions 4. Inspect all hardware for condition and tightness 5. Inspect drawers and cabinets 6. Turn on/off all appliances to ensure they are working properly. 7. Inspect toilets for leaks and proper operation 8. Check A/ C system for proper operation 9. Clean A/C return air filters 10. Clean filters on air handlers 11. Check bow hatches for proper operation and tight fit 12. Inspect all batteries 13. Check batteries cables for tightness 14. Inspect shore line inlets 15. Open shoreline inlet cap and check gasket integrity 16. Check shore cord blades for corrosion and pitting 17. Check for salt and dirt accumulation 18.
Inspect retractable shore line insulation:
examine ends of connection for cracking corrosion and pitting 19. Turn on/off electronics to ensure they are working properly 20. Inspect Navigational lighting, search lights, spreaders lights 21. Inspect throttle clutch for proper operation 22. Inspect neutral inter lock switches for proper operation 23. Check all portable fire extinguishers for full charge 24. Check Windless for proper operation 25. Clean vessel bottom 26. Inspect shaft and rudder zincs, replace if necessary 27. Run engine for 15 minutes 28. Rotate fuel transfer filter 29. Check oil and coolants levels 30. Inspect fuel lines hoses, flare nuts, valves and fittings and tank for leakage 31. Check racors for water 32. Check trim tabs for proper operation 33. Inspect rudder assembly 34. Inspect shaft strut bolts for tightness 35. Inspect all exhaust blowers and ventilation fans 36. Inspect all steering lines, hoses , flare nuts , helm and slave cylinders for leaks 37. Check air pressure for steering 38. Check Filter for fresh water Ro 39. Flush house filter 40. Inspect fresh water system 41. Inspect all faucets and shower valves for leaks and function 42. Turn on Eskimo ice maker 43. Run saltwater fresh water ROs for 10 minutes In addition to the above routine maintenance, the boat manager agrees to the following:
  • The boat manager will be on site (for up to 6 hours) for each subcontractor is working on the boat to oversee subcontractor's work;
  • The boat manager will receive additional compensation for up to 5 hours of captain time for each boat trip day;
  • The boat manager will receive additional compensation for any "full day" (over 5 hours ) of captain time for each boat trip day; and, the
  • Total Monthly Management Fee.
In addition to the above duties, the boat manager will need to be available to help prepare the boat for its semi-annual boat hauls to/from Vonore, TN to Ft. Lauderdale, TN to/from Ft. Lauderdale, FL for the summer and winter seasons. There are no quarterly services or additional fees associated with the boat management. Pay:
$1,500.00 - $1,700.00 per month
