Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a qualified Linehaul Doubles operator with a CDL license to join our transportation team. Must have 3 years of Alaskan sets experience no exceptions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks and trailers, ensuring timely delivery of freight across designated routes. This role requires a professional driver with experience in Alaskan doubles linehaul commercial driving, load & unload procedures, and adherence to safety regulations. The A CDL will play a vital role in maintaining efficient logistics operations while upholding the highest standards of safety and customer service. Responsibilities Operate tractor-double trailers, building sets for Linehaul, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, in compliance with all federal and state regulations. Drive route schedules efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of freight. Night Work (Ancborage-Fairbanks or Anchorage Kenai) Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and cargo documentation. Follow all safety protocols related to the operation of manual transmission trucks and specialized equipment. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes. Assist with maintenance or minor repairs on trucks as needed to ensure optimal operation. Skills Valid Class A CDL license with endorsements for manual transmission preferred. Proven Alaskan experience driving commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers And doubles. Strong knowledge of freight handling, load & unload procedures, and route driving logistics. Ability to operate forklifts or other loading equipment is a plus. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Good communication skills for coordinating deliveries and reporting issues. Physical ability to load/unload freight and perform vehicle inspections regularly. Experience in delivery driver roles or truck driving positions is highly desirable.
