Job Description
Overview of Position:
Truck Drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of trucks used in the transport and dumping of materials within the plant. Operators must follow all safety protocols, traffic rules, and site-specific procedures while maintaining situational awareness to prevent incidents and ensure smooth operations.Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct pre-shift inspections and complete Mobile Equipment Daily Pre-Shift Inspection Reports. Operate trucks safely and efficiently following site-specific traffic patterns and speed limits Follow all posted traffic and safety signs including stop, yield, and railroad crossings. Position truck properly for loading per instructions from loader or crane operators. Ensure trucks are not overloaded or loaded with hot materials; load must be stable and within capacity limits. Dump materials only on level, designated surfaces; avoid backing onto piles or near obstructions Be alert to hazards such as collisions, rollovers, debris, low tire inflation, and fall risks. Maintain clear communication with surrounding personnel and equipment operators Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operationsKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

This job takes place in a Steel Mill setting, requiring a sense of high-level safety reverence using the required PPE for the environment.Physical Demand:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and listen in potentially noisy indoor and outdoor environments. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk on both flat and uneven surfaces, sit, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the employee to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis.Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED Valid Driver's License Willingness to work in a Steel Mill Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred but not requiredOther Duties:
