Job Description
Family owned and operated, service-oriented propane company in search of a Propane Delivery Driver to operate straight trucks with propane cargo tanks and service vehicles to pick up, transport and deliver propane in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Driver will primarily be loading and unloading propane at various sites under varied conditions and will at times be required to perform service, maintenance, installation, or other work as needed. The majority of our work is September through April; Monday through Friday 8-5. While Winter can be hectic, Summers are generally laid back. Superior Gas is honored to have served the propane needs of communities in East Alabama and Northwest Florida since 1948. Preferred drivers Are a minimum of 25 years of age Possess Class A or B CDL with Tanker and Hazmat Endorsement Must be willing and able to acquire all _ propane _ • required certifications • in a timely manner and at company expense as well as participate in regular safety meetings and refresher classes. Can read, write, communicate and comprehend the English language sufficiently to perform the various tasks of the job including but not limited to communicating with co-workers and the general public; understanding oral and written instructions and company policies; and accurately completing various reports and records. Have a satisfactory past work record. Are physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle as demonstrated by a current medical examiner's certificate. are able to pass any company requested drug or alcohol test and does not use any drugs or substances that would interfere with his or her ability to drive safely. have a record of safe and competent driving skills both personal and commercial as demonstrated by MVR. Must be neat and clean. Must be willing to cross train and be team oriented. Seasonal Workers will be considered.
