Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks to deliver freight efficiently and on time. Your expertise in driving different vehicle configurations, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, will ensure our cargo reaches its destination securely and in excellent condition. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks, including manual transmission vehicles, across designated routes. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo. Drive a variety of truck types, including refrigerated trailers for temperature-sensitive goods, flatbeds for oversized loads, and tankers for liquid shipments. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle inspections in compliance with transportation regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues promptly. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during route driving to promote safe operations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the road. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle type being operated. Proven experience in truck driving, especially with delivery routes involving freight handling and load & unload procedures. Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles and various truck configurations such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Strong knowledge of safety standards related to trucking operations and cargo securement. Excellent route planning skills with a focus on efficiency and punctuality.
