https://intelliapp.driverapponline.com/c/breeden?r=lease2klb&uri_b=ia_breeden_210147766 Commercial truck driving job involving the use of Company owned equipment in the over-the-road delivery of loads from distribution center to retail locations as well as the shuttling of trailers within the confines of the distribution center as needed. Operate a tractor in both yard and road movement of trailers between designated locations. Safely and efficiently maneuver empty and loaded trailers into and out of loading docks. Make over the road deliveries or pick-ups of loads as dispatched. Coordination with Yard Spotter personnel to position specifically designated trailers to and from proper dock locations. Coordination with Maintenance Manager and shop personnel to assure trailers are rotated to/from the maintenance area as required. Safe chocking of trailer and operation of trailer equipment including fifth wheel, dolly, breaks, lights, and refrigeration unit settings. Inspection of tractor for damage or broken equipment. Report trailer damage or broken equipment. Accurate writing of work completion reports and equipment damage reports as required. Clean and tidy the truck and work area. Such other driver duties as may be assigned. Maintain a professional and cooperative demeanor with customer representatives at all times. Must possess Commercial Drivers License and meet Company driver qualification standards. Must read and write in English. Twelve month verifiable experience operating tractor trailers, including the spotting of trailers in congested areas. Ability to safely and accurately work under tight time constraints Ability to communicate clearly and understand instructions received via two-way radio. Strong commitment to team work and customer service. Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Job involves some walking and frequent climbing in and out of the truck cab and on and off trailers. Must have ability to safely climb stairs, ladders, and equipment footholds. Frequent movement between truck cab and yard in all weather conditions. Must possess ability to work nights and weekends where required.
