Overview Join our dynamic team as a Non CDL Box Truck Driver/Picker and become a vital part of our logistics and delivery operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating box trucks to collect trash and unload at the dump. Your enthusiasm and commitment to safe driving, picking, and excellent customer service will help us ensure timely deliveries and satisfied clients. This position offers a fast-paced environment where your skills in driving, manual handling, and route management will shine. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company policies to collect trash efficiently across designated routes. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques ensuring safe lifting practices and proper weight distribution. Assist with physical labor duties such as collecting bagged trash, Unloading bagged trash, and working in weathered conditions. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and driving to maintain a safe work environment for yourself, colleagues, and customers. Experience Proven ability to operate a box truck and work in physical demanding conditions. Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques, safe lifting practices, and weight handling in the workplace. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and load securing procedures. Experience with route driving. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. Demonstrated commitment to safety standards in driving and manual handling tasks.
