Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Water Truck Driver, operating primarily within the West Valley area with the convenience of being home daily. Desert Services Company Description Desert Services is a fast-growing, 25-year site-services provider to Arizona's construction industry. We're the one-stop shop for SWPPP, temporary fencing, portable toilets, roll-off containers, street sweeping, water trucks (dust control), and site cleaning. Job Summary Desert Services is seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Water Truck Driver to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of water trucks to transport and distribute water at construction sites and customer locations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to safety, equipment care, and professional customer service while working in demanding outdoor environments across Arizona. Key Responsibilities Operations & Equipment Safely operate water trucks to transport and distribute water at construction sites Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure proper water distribution for dust control and site compliance Secure hoses and equipment before transport Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of assigned vehicle Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly Routing & Communication Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding routing and scheduling Follow assigned routes and adapt to changing job site conditions Complete daily logs, tickets, and required paperwork accurately Customer Service Interact professionally with customers, site supervisors, and contractors Ensure services are completed according to customer expectations Represent Desert Services in a positive and professional manner at all times Compliance & Safety Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations Operate vehicles safely on public roadways and active construction sites Maintain strong spatial awareness when maneuvering in tight or high-traffic job sites Immediately report incidents, accidents, or unsafe conditions Additional Responsibilities Support yard and field operations as needed Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs Qualifications Valid CDL Class A or B (required) Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience (required) Minimum 1 year of truck driving experience (required) Ability to operate a manual transmission (required) Clean driving record Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work independently and follow instructions Strong attention to safety and detail Preferred Qualifications Tanker endorsement Current Dust Card Hazmat endorsement Prior water truck or construction industry experience Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Previous water truck or construction industry experience strongly preferred Physical Requirements Ability to work 8-10 hour shifts in a physically demanding role Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to handle hoses, connect/disconnect water lines, and secure equipment Ability to climb in and out of vehicles multiple times per shift Ability to kneel, crouch, bend, and maintain balance on uneven terrain Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme Arizona heat Good vision and hearing for safe vehicle operation and job site awareness Strong spatial awareness to maneuver large vehicles in tight construction areas Why Join Us?
