Shop Runner

Shop Parts Runner FPS Civil is seeking a Shop Parts Runner to support our field and shop/equipment operations. The ideal candidate must have good navigational and driving skills, be able to drive manual transmission vehicles, and have knowledge of construction supplies and material stores and warehouses throughout the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. We are looking for candidates with exceptional organizational, follow-through, interpersonal, and communication skills; must be punctual with superior attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. Maintaining good working relationships is critical and we are looking for candidates that can think out of the box and be solution providers! Work is outdoors. Candidates will be expected to meet company attendance standards and be able to pass a background check as some of our job sites have high security clearance requirements. Successful candidate will report to the Operations Support Manager and work closely with management and field crews to achieve goal objectives. Compliance with all Company safety policies, OSHA, job site requirements, and site safety standards is absolutely required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Pick up and deliver parts and materials to appropriate locations Load and unload trucks at job sites and yard Assist with keeping the yard and shop clean and organized Report any deficiencies observed in vehicles and equipment Assist shop mechanics as directed Inventory shop and yard supplies as necessary Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Have knowledge of construction supplies and material stores and warehouses throughout the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. Valid Arizona driver license Acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy Strong organizational and communication skill. Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English Previous experience preferred Be able to work outdoors

Physical Work Demands and Conditions:

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, steel toe boots, gloves, face masks, fall protection, etc. is a requirement. Dexterity and agility sufficient for climbing around equipment and driving vehicles while outdoors. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50lbs), bend, stoop, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse outdoor field conditions and inclement weather. Acceptable level of correctable vision for Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral and Depth Perception. Hearing sufficient for being aware of back-up alarms, hearing equipment and for normal conversations. Work flexible hours and overtime as required.
