In this vital role, you will operate a range of commercial vehicles, including truck trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and other specialized equipment. Your expertise in driving and load management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of trucks such as truck trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and to deliver freight across designated routes. Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary. This position responsible for driving and material transportation; however, employees are also required to assist with roofing tear-offs, jobsite cleanup, loading/unloading materials, and general labor duties as needed. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, route logs, and inspection reports. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during route driving and delivery operations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or specialized trailers to prevent damage during transit. Qualifications Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight transportation. Valid driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for manual transmission operation preferred. Hands-on experience with various truck types such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable. Knowledge of load securing techniques and equipment like forklifts or other material handling tools. 2-3 Years Driving Strong understanding of route planning and navigation for efficient delivery schedules. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
