Seasonal Class A Drivers (Arbuckle, Dixon, and Stockton, CA) Valley Farm Transport is seeking seasonal Class A drivers to haul agricultural products from approximately August - November. Must have a Class A license, 1 year driving experience, with a doubles/triples endorsement and clean DMV record. Yes Job Summary Drives a Class A commercial motor vehicle with a capacity of more than twenty-six (26) tons to transport agricultural commodities including, but not limited to, bulk produce, grain, and flatbed loads. The driver must comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT and FMCSA requirements, and Valley Farm Transport safety standards. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Drive Class A commercial vehicles exceeding 26 tons. Transport materials to and from specified destinations using knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads. Maintain accurate DOT logs, DVIRs, and freight tags; submit documentation daily. Maintain continuous communication with dispatch and field representatives. Inspect truck equipment prior to leaving terminal, including tires, brakes, lights, fluids, and safety equipment. Confirm cargo is properly loaded and secured; tarp, ratchet, sweep hopper doors, and adjust loads as required. Assist with loading and unloading operations when necessary. Report inoperable, missing, or unsafe equipment immediately. Comply with DOT HOS, speed, weight, width, and height requirements. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) as applicable to assigned tasks and work locations. Work nights, weekends, and extended hours during peak seasons. Drivers are not permitted to take trucks or trailers home; equipment must remain at company terminals. Perform other duties as assigned. The duties listed above are intended to describe the general nature of the work and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Duties may change or be added as business needs require. Work Hours This position may require extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays during peak agricultural seasons. All working time, including driving, on-duty, loading/unloading, waiting time, and required inspections, will be compensated in accordance with California wage and hour laws, including overtime requirements. Hours worked will comply with applicable California labor laws and

hours-of-service regulations. This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime, double time, and meal/rest period premiums as required by California law Knowledge, Skills & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Valid and current California Class A Commercial Driver's License with required endorsements Minimum one (1) year of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service, and load securement requirements Must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and complete driver reports and records in accordance with FMCSA regulation 49 CFR §391.11(b)(2). Ability to read and understand road signs and written instructions Ability to pass a ELP Test Ability to interact professionally with dispatch, customers, and law enforcement Physical Demands of the Job Sitting for extended periods Standing and walking on level and uneven surfaces Bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting Climbing steps, ladders, or trailers Reaching above, at, and below shoulder level Continuous gripping and occasional pinching Lifting/carrying 0-25 lbs Lifting/carrying 26-50 lbs Lifting/carrying up to 70 lbs (tarps/equipment) Pushing and pulling with light to medium resistance Working at heights up to 10 feet Exposure to excessive noise Exposure to dust, fumes, or chemicals Exposure to extreme temperatures Operation of foot controls and repetitive movements
