Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong focus on safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans. Responsibilities Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring safe handling of materials. Operate manual transmission vehicles as required, demonstrating proficiency in driving techniques. Deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner while maintaining accurate delivery records. Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Utilize pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment for efficient loading and unloading processes. Assist in moving heavy items as needed, ensuring proper lifting techniques are followed to prevent injury. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit. Experience Proven experience as a truck driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards is essential. Experience operating box trucks or vans, including knowledge of courier services is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks and navigate warehouse environments effectively. Previous experience using manual transmission vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory.
