GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

The Residential Recovery Advocate at Tatum Psychology Employment Group plays a vital and supportive role in the treatment and recovery of our clients. The Residential Recovery Advocate's responsibilities include transporting clients to and from medical appointments, essential services, and other scheduled outings, as well as picking up and delivering medications to support continuity of care. Recovery Advocates also engage directly with clients throughout the day - offering encouragement, promoting active participation in treatment, and helping to create a structured, supportive living environment. The Recovery Advocate's consistent presence helps ensure clients stay focused and on track to successfully complete their treatment programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Client Transportation & Medication Management Transport clients to and from doctor's appointments, pharmacies, and other essential locations in a timely and professional manner. Pick up prescribed medications and deliver them securely to the appropriate staff or clients, following HIPAA and confidentiality standards. 2. Client Engagement & Support Build rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients by offering consistent support and positive encouragement. Engage with clients to promote participation in their treatment program and to motivate them to stay in treatment. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive residential environment. 3. Communication & Collaboration Observe and report client behaviors, needs, and concerns to clinical and residential staff. Participate in shift changes, team meetings, and training as scheduled. 4. Documentation & Compliance Document all client interactions, transports, and incidents accurately and in a timely manner. Uphold all policies and procedures related to client safety, confidentiality, and program operations.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

Performs other duties as may be assigned. Follows and supports TPEG policies and procedures. Works collaboratively and cooperatively with internal and external partners. Represents TPEG, Inc., by embodying the mission, vision and values of the organization. Travels occasionally during the workday and on occasional overnight stay. (Compensation for mileage, food and lodging provided.) Maintains regular attendance at work and company activities and demonstrates punctuality regarding deadlines. Displays creativity and vision in recommending new tactics and strategies. Expands and updates job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional learning. EDUCATION:

RELATED EXPERIENCE

Experience working in mental health, behavioral health, or recovery programs.

Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building supportive client relationships. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Experience working with culturally diverse individuals and communities or have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to strengthening engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with diverse populations. Familiarity with equity and/or diversity initiatives within an organization. Written and oral communication skills sufficient to perform essential functions. Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently and use initiative to accomplish complex assignments with general instruction and guidance. Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and integrity on the job with confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy. Demonstrated ability to organize time and other resources to perform multiple tasks.
