Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Tow Truck Flatbed Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate flatbed tow trucks to safely transport vehicles, including cars, trucks, and heavy machinery, across various locations. Your expertise in vehicle recovery towing, cargo securement protocols, and mechanical troubleshooting will ensure efficient and secure vehicle transport. Responsibilities Safely operate flatbed tow trucks to load, unload, and transport vehicles while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws Secure vehicles onto the flatbed using appropriate cargo securement protocols to prevent movement during transit Perform minor mechanical repairs and basic troubleshooting on vehicles to ensure operational readiness before towing Conduct thorough inspections of tow trucks prior to shifts, checking for mechanical issues or safety concerns Assist customers with vehicle recovery towing, vehicle mechanics for truck drivers, and car towing services with professionalism and courtesy Follow proper procedures for vehicle loading onto tow trucks, ensuring safe handling of manual transmissions and other vehicle types Maintain accurate logs of all trips, vehicle conditions, and incident reports as required by company policies Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record and experience in commercial truck driving Proven experience with flatbed towing, vehicle recovery towing, and cargo securement protocols Strong mechanical knowledge including automotive diagnostics, minor mechanical repairs, and basic vehicle troubleshooting Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely under various conditions Familiarity with automotive repair procedures and vehicle mechanics for truck drivers is highly desirable Excellent customer service skills coupled with conflict management abilities to handle challenging situations professionally Knowledge of forklift operation is a plus for handling certain loading/unloading tasks efficiently Physical ability to load & unload vehicles manually or with equipment as needed in a safe manner Join us if you're passionate about driving, vehicle mechanics, and delivering exceptional service.
