$30-$40 per hour Kindness General Contractors, LLC is looking for skilled Class A Drivers to join our team. We are based in Stanton, CA but or job sites vary from to job to job. The Class A Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of equipment, materials, tools, and machinery to and from construction job sites, vendors, and company facilities. This role plays a critical part in supporting field operations by ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all company policies and DOT regulations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, organized, and able to adapt to changing schedules and job site needs in a fast-paced construction environment.Duties/Responsibilities:
Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, lowboys, and other company equipment. Transport construction materials, heavy equipment, tools, and supplies to various job sites and facilities. Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and properly. Secure loads in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, fuel records, and delivery documentation. Coordinate with dispatch, project managers, foremen, and yard personnel regarding delivery schedules and job site needs. Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment as needed. Ensure all deliveries are completed in a timely and professional manner. Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, incidents, or safety concerns immediately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicles and equipment. Follow all federal, state, local, DOT, and company safety regulations and policies. Represent the company professionally when interacting with employees, customers, vendors, and the public. Support yard operations or other duties as assigned during downtime or changing operational needs.Required Skills/Abilities:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card). Minimum of 2 years of Class A driving experience preferred. Construction industry experience preferred. Experience hauling heavy equipment, construction materials, or oversized loads is a plus. Knowledge of DOT regulations, load securement, and safe driving practices. Ability to operate manual transmissions and various trailer configurations preferred. Forklift or equipment operation experience is a plus. Strong communication and time management skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, overtime, weekends, or occasional out-of-town work if needed. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, modified, or changed at any time at the Company's discretion. Changes may be made formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while operating commercial vehicles. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crouch, and secure loads. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and construction site conditions. Must be able to safely enter and exit commercial vehicles and trailers multiple times throughout the day.
