In this role, you will operate a range of commercial vehicles and box trucks. Your expertise in driving and load handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced logistics operation committed to excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of trucks including manual transmission vehicles and box trucks. Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper securing of loads to prevent damage during transit. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement. Follow all traffic laws and company policies related to commercial driving to ensure safety for yourself and others on the road. Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries while accommodating delivery schedules and traffic conditions. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance reports. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing exceptional service. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle types operated (e.g. box truck). Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight delivery; previous delivery driver experience is highly valued. Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and familiarity with tractor-trailer operations. Experience handling various types of freight . Ability to load & unload cargo safely using forklifts or other loading equipment when required. Strong knowledge of route planning and driving regulations for commercial vehicles. Physical capability to perform load securement tasks and conduct vehicle inspections regularly. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and customers.
