Transportation / Logistics / Airline Catering About the Role A leading provider of airline catering and onboard logistics services is seeking experienced CDL Delivery Drivers to support daily flight operations at San Diego International Airport. In this role, you will safely transport catering equipment and supplies between the production facility and aircraft while working directly with airline personnel to ensure flights depart on schedule. This position is ideal for safety-focused, customer-oriented drivers who thrive in a fast-paced airport environment. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles on airport property Gather catering equipment and supplies for assigned flights Verify flight documentation and ensure the correct items are loaded before departing Deliver and load catering equipment onto aircraft according to established procedures Position catering vehicles safely at aircraft and operate loading platforms Unload and remove equipment from arriving aircraft Dispose of domestic and international waste in accordance with CBP regulations Communicate professionally with flight attendants, airline crews, and operations personnel Work closely with team members to resolve operational issues and meet tight flight schedules Follow all DOT, TSA, airport, company, and safety regulations Required Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Minimum 1 year of recent commercial driving experience At least 21 years of age Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (DMV report required at interview) Ability to pass: DOT pre-employment physical Criminal background check TSA/Airport security background check Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Comfortable working in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment Schedule Full-time position Open availability is required Must be available to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed Shift assignments are based on operational needs and union seniority Overtime opportunities are offered based on job classification seniority Physical Requirements Stand, walk, bend, push, and lift throughout 8+ hour shifts Lift and push up to 50 pounds Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Frequently work around aircraft, noise, and changing temperatures Safely handle dry ice and other airline catering materials Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Benefits Competitive weekly pay Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401(k) Paid Time Off (eligibility based on company policy) Company-provided uniforms Annual safety shoe allowance Complimentary employee meals during shifts Apply today to join a growing team supporting one of the nation's busiest airport operations!
