Job Description
Job description Nitrex is looking for a CDL (Commercial Drivers License) Class B or A driver for our team in the Northern California region. This is a early morning/day shift driving role. This is a Monday through Friday role with start times between 5:00-7:00AM. We exist to serve our family of employees and customers. Starting Rate:
$28/ hourQualifications:
Possess a valid class A, B, or C Commercial Driver's License Tanker and Hazmat endorsements Local residence (within 20 miles of Fremont) - no relocations Preferred 6 months of recent commercial driving experience (e.g., box trucks, flatbeds, school buses, water delivery trucks, etc.) Must be able to pass DOT physical, background check, and pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment Ability to write, communicate, and read English as well as perform basic mathematical calculations Must be able to push 700+ pound cylinder tank on wheels and refill nitrogen gasses Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to be on-call for additional shifts as needed Driver Responsibilities Must be able to handle freight/cylinders Operates a Dodge Ram 5500 with enclosed box in a safe and responsible manner Fills liquid nitrogen cylinders at customers' facilities Completes DVIR and appropriate logs daily Complies with DOT regulations and company safety policies. Communicates safety and customer issues daily with supervisor Maintains professional relationship with all customers Performs additional duties and assignments as required As a driver, you will be responsible for delivering liquid nitrogen or cylinders on scheduled routes with an emphasis on safety and customer service.Benefits Offered Starting Rate:
$28/ hour -$30 when fully trainedShift:
