ONLY OVERVIEW
PCE, a live events production company, is looking for a CDL Class A driver who has a strong work ethic and good judgment to support our company in Huntington Beach, CA. We have events throughout California, but primarily in Southern California currently. Business hours are Monday•Friday, 9am-5:30pm. Hours for this role vary, including required nights, weekends and Holidays. This role will report directly to operations management, performing wide-ranging tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle. This role requires compliance with safety & DOT regulations, continuous training, and customer service. Additionally, it will require daily interaction with front line customers and ensuring safe pickup and delivery of orders. DUTIES You will be expected to carry out the duties and responsibilities described below, as well as all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. These duties and responsibilities are periodically updated to reflect business needs. Within this role, you will be driving commercial vehicles, including semi-trucks, box trucks, stake beds, and standard vehicles: including towing 5th wheel, gooseneck, and semi-trailers. At your destination, you will be required to load, unload, and assist with equipment being delivered or picked up. You will be required to interface with clients in a positive and professional manner, acquire signed paperwork and return it to home office.
Additional duties and responsibilities include:
Safe oriented driving Strapping and securing loads Sitting, climbing, bending, lifting weights of up to 75lbs Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines Advising PCE management as to DOT regulations and compliance requirements. Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards Maintaining accurate records and logs Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight Light vehicle maintenance and upkeep Facilities work When not in a driving capacity, you are working in the warehouse, helping where needed Other duties as assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS
Possession of a valid California Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), with all required endorsements for the position. Clean MVR over the last 3 years. Must have Class A verifiable experience in a bobtail or comparable vehicle: 5 years' experience within the last 10 years Ability to lift 75lbs Flexibility to work a variety of hours including overnights and weekends and Holidays Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures Must be a team member and interact well with others Must be flexible and able to maintain professionalism under pressure Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to show up on time and work well without supervision Attention to detail and accuracy Flexibility and adaptability Broad general education with relevant entertainment industry experience Working knowledge of the principles and practices of workplace safety Applicant must desire longevity and growth within this role
