Job Description
As a Driver for Signature Party Rentals, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery and pick-up of event rental equipment to and from various locations. You will be responsible for operating our company-owned box trucks, maintaining the route schedule, leading a crew, and providing excellent customer service. Duties and Responsibilities Operation of a Company Vehicle Operate a company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner. Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations. Verify route, assignments, and special instructions with a Dispatcher prior to departure. Arrive at all stops in a safe, timely manner and comply with company rest and meal periods, immediately reporting any schedule issues to a Dispatcher. Submit route paperwork to a Dispatcher upon returning to the main warehouse. Ensure proper securing of equipment inside the vehicle to prevent shifting or damage during transit. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation, reporting any issues to the Dispatch Greeter or a Dispatcher. Maintain accurate records of truck weight and mileage when applicable. Always maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and report any first aid or tool supply shortages to a Dispatcher. Event Inventory Lead a team to safely and efficiently install and/or pick-up inventory at each job site. Follow company and Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) guidelines for safely loading/unloading, transporting, and handling inventory. Verify and log physical inventory counts against order paperwork, immediately reporting any shortages and/or overages to a Dispatcher. Report any damages or issues with equipment to a Dispatcher. Safety & Compliance Maintain a safe working environment at each job site by identifying, reporting, and safely finding solutions to hazards. Properly document and report workplace injuries, auto accidents, or property damage. Professionalism and Customer Service Demonstrate a positive attitude and respect towards clients, vendors, and coworkers Provide excellent customer service through professional communication and properly addressing client needs. Provide additional support to other drivers and crew to ensure the overall success of the company. Foster positive customer relationships by working with Event Directors, Production Managers, and Event Sales Associates to address client needs.
